06-29 雙邊類 – 教育話題
Some people claim that many things that children are taught at school are a waste of time. Other people argue that everything study at school are useful at some time. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
題目大意：
有人認為學(xué)校教的很多內(nèi)容是浪費時間;其他人認為學(xué)校教的所有內(nèi)容都會有用的。討論雙方觀點，并給出你的觀點。
思路：
雙邊討論題目，比較容易的寫法就是都站在各自的立場，討論各自的觀點的合理性，再選擇支持哪一方或中立。如果選擇支持單方，就需要在論證中通過對比來證明雙方觀點的優(yōu)劣，使自己的選擇更站得住腳。
題目是兩種對立觀點(浪費時間VS有用)，聚焦在學(xué)習(xí)這一件事情上，我們可以在論證時分幾種具體情況討論這兩種結(jié)果，
1)比如可以將學(xué)習(xí)細化為不同的內(nèi)容，帶來的不同結(jié)果;
2)或者可以將學(xué)習(xí)的對象分為不同的群體，再針對不同群體的需要來討論學(xué)習(xí)對他們的作用;
3)還可以將浪費時間和有用這兩種效果，給出不同的限定，比如短期而言是浪費，長遠考慮是有用;

People take different attitudes towards the usefulness of school education. While some people regard it a waste of time to study at school, I would agree with the opponents who believe that everything imparted by academic institutions have their justification.
Admittedly, it is easy to understand why some young individuals are disappointed about the results ofschooling, particularly for those pragmatists who look forward to immediate rewards from anything they have done. There do exist some businesses where the oretical proficiency is eclipsed by empirical knowledge. Let’s imagine a hypothetical situation where two candidates compete for a position of car dealer or estate agent. Supposing that one applicant has just graduated from university while the other is a senior sales person without degree, the former would have less odds to win out.
However, I choose to standby those who believe that every course is worth learning, whereas it is just a matter of time for the knowledge to shine a light. Living in a rapid-changing era, few people can anticipate the future trend of the market, meaning that anything we learn, though it might not benefit us at the moment, will have its role to play in our future careers - what the world needs in the future will not beskilled worker anymore but more versatile talents who can switch between different roles using diversified knowledge. By contrast, those utilitarians who overlook the importance of study will be justified to be myopic and inevitably be left behind the new wave of business. One convincing example is the success of Woody Allen, the famous movie director. Were it not for those seemingly useless knowledgeof history, literature, music and art, which he has accumulated for the past oflife, he would have not been able to tell so many fantastic stories in hismovies.
In conclusion, academic education might seem time-wasting to those short-sighted people, I believe thatstudy will be one of the most rewarded thing we ought to do.
